BOARD GAMES

A board game  is any game  played with a premarked surface, with counters or pieces that are moved across the board. Simple board games are often seen as ideal "family entertainment" as they can provide entertainment for all ages. Some board games, such as chess  or Go  , have intense strategic value and have become lasting classics.
• There are many different types and classifications of board games. Some games are simplified simulations of real life. These are popular for they can intermingle make-believe and role playing along with the game. Popular games of this type include Monopoly , which is a rough simulation of the real estate market, Cluedo , which is based upon a murder mystery, and Risk which is one of the most well known of thousands of games attempting to simulate warfare and geo-politics.
• Other games only loosely, or do not at all, attempt to imitate reality. These include abstract strategy games like chess, checkers , Chinese checkers ,  word games , such as Scrabble , and trivia games, such as Trivial Pursuit .

   UNIQUE SPECIMENS

• All presented specimens are unique for two reasons: they are hand painted and  non reproduced (except in particular conditions).
Each one requires a lot of work hours, between 3 and 5 days, with the obligation to be a board game (smooth and uniform surface, varnish to protect,...)

Important remark : These board games are unique and you can't find them anywhere else. So, once they are purchased,  they are automatically removed from the shop and thus from sale. So, the object of your desires can disappear any time!

   MEDIUM WOOD

The boards are made in medium wood with a strong density for a perfect behavior (the weight is about 5,2lbs for a board).
They are fiberboards of stuck and hot pressed wood. Their two smooth sides and a fine and homogeneous structure are adapted to all types of use. The medium is one of the most heavy product derived from wood, with an average density of 1653lbs/m3.

   CREATION

Various methods and products are employed and combined on each specimen:
acrylic paint, pastel, pencil,...
Once they are painted, for a best protection, 3 or 4 layers of varnish are applied.
The backside is covered with blue adhesive felt and there is a reference mark for a possible hangs on a wall.

   PRODUCT CARE

A slightly humidified sponge or a simple dry rag ensures a perfect maintenance. Avoid absolutely cutting objects, grittings, as well as solvents (acetone,...) which would be fatal for the varnish.

   ACCESSORIES

The necessary balls for playing Chinese checkers are not provided.
The 6 colors of balls are on the appreciation of each one. Indeed, nothing obliges to use balls of color red, blue, white, black, green and yellow, full balls rather than iridescent balls, glass or marble balls, etc.
Adapt them to your own tastes.
